Nurture & Cultivate Your Strengths Now and in Retirement
“We can be sure that the greatest hope for maintaining equilibrium in the face of any situation rests within ourselves.” ~Francis J. Braceland~
Every one of us has strengths. Have you ever noticed that there are some things you can do more easily than others? Those are your strengths. They can be applied in many ways in many different situations. You’d be surprised how much your strengths can help you over time. Yet, you may also have strengths that are lying dormant, hidden and unused. Be a detective and go looking for them.
When you develop your strengths, you:
don’t hide your light from others
attract people and opportunities that match them
Tips for cultivating strengths:
1. Don’t downplay your strengths. Be confident about them.
2. Make a list of your strengths and continually refine them.
3. Remember, a measure of happiness can come from knowing your strengths are being used and appreciated.
4. The more you use your strengths, the stronger they get.
5. Work to uncover hidden strengths.
When you work with your strengths and refine and improve them, your confidence will reach new heights. Don’t let anyone criticize what comes naturally to you. You were born with these innate strengths, use them wisely and your purpose in life will be clear.
